Founded in Amsterdam in 1937, Roba has evolved from a small scrap trading operation into a complex international group. The 750+ people who work for the company are now engaged in the processing, trading and smelting of scrap in addition to providing stock-holding and service centres for new (stainless) steel and aluminium products.
Established in 1987, Roba Metals Ltd has since established itself as a major player in the recycled aluminium and copper markets.
Operating three sites in the Midlands, we currently handle over 4,000 tonnes per month and are looking to expand operations.
Roba source materials from all over the UK and Europe, both directly from the industries that produce scrap, and also other metal recycling companies. Because of the varied nature of our supply, we are flexible to meet our customers’ demands.
In over 85 years, we have grown to become the international and independent metal business that we are today. Nowadays, our originally Dutch company has offices and plants in seven countries on three continents. Roba Metals deals with supply of new steel, stainless steel and aluminium coils and sheet.
Through KBM Affilips we make master alloys: additives for the metal industry to create chemically consistent alloys.
